Looking to download. Wondering what people thought of it.

Being a newbie to Linux, I've found that trying to install apps, games included, have been a good learning experience to explore Linux.

Haven't tried it myself. As with any OSS software, there's always some other project that's done it before (or after). For Doom on Linux I prefer the Legacy Doom engine, but to each their own.
