Hello. Other than UT, I also enjoy playing Team Fortress Classic (TFC)... I've installed Cedega 4.0.1 (latest) from their website, and ran the installer for Half-Life and TFC, and both went without a hitch. The CDs, I'll mention here, were from the Platinum pack. I played HL for a bit... and then I decided I'd install Steam and fire up TFC.
Well, that's where my problem occurs. Steam starts just fine, and updated everything just great. I was really excited. Then, I tried running TFC from the "Play Games" menu... and nothing happened... ever. I then tried to turn off Steam, but it said "Steam Apps are running", which means TFC had loaded, but I couldn't see it.
Well, I got this message when I had started Steam via the console:
Code:
Your system requires the use of pthreads but the maximum system allowed stack size of 2052 kB may be too small for some games.
If you experience problems, try rerunning with "-use-pthreads no" which may help
So, I figured, what the heck, I'll run it without pthreads. It started, and to my joy, the TFC screen showed up when I hit "Play Games" and then TFC! But... there are no menu options... I can't do anything... not even quit. I had to force-quit it...
Any suggestions?
