Well - also a way to get sound :)
I'm wondering why there still is no version 0.14 of netPanzer out, got a lot of changes since 0.13 (AFAIK) :)

Yes i have searched the site a few times but found no info about a new release.(also the cvs part)
hope it is coming soon

btw last night there were some strange things (bugs) in the lobby,
a server with 5/6 ppl on it crashed and we all joined the lobby (normal way) to look for another server.
Then one said i see a server with your name in front (my name) but i diddent had a server running.
I was suprised and did a refresh on the lobby.
Then I saw a server running with the guy his name in front that first said he saw mine server.
But he was not having a server running also.

It was abit confusion because when ppl try to join on such a server it was not possible ofcourse.

hmm - well I guess there is some kind of bug in the lobby code - but in 0.14 the lobby code was completly overworked and redone.
However, I haven't seen MatzeB (the main developer) recently, so I have no clue what's going on....

Is there all any news from MatzeB about the next release?

Nope - checked in yesterday but no luck - well I guess he is really busy atm :)
I hope I can somehow catch him this week - really want to game the new release :D

What would be a very nice option is a music volume key or menu option.
I know i can change it in the xmlconfig but not when the game is running.

I needed the slang package because of some dependencies probs with suse some info about it

So I installed the package.
since then netPanzer has probs, I removed the slang package after compiling asc because i saw the probs with netPanzer.

Has it anything to with it or is it just a co incident?

(netpanzer has trouble since with generating the color palletes)

pfuh - tbh I can't answer that question - never used / needed the "slang package" :)

lol I fixed my sound problem

I had the onboard sound disabled in my bios but by a weird thing (probarly a bios bug) linux configured my onboard sound and netPanzer used the wrong soundcard. I threw away my onboard soundcard and netPanzer is using my SB live instead

Last night I asked MatzeB about the new release but it is not coming soon I think.
He wanted first the crash bug repaired before a new release, which is a good point.
There is also assistent in the project now from dirt, one of the original developers.
