I would like to use the kernel from openSUSE 11 RC1 because it has an updated driver for my Broadcom wireless card.

Is it possible to install it under openSUSE 10.3?

If so, how do I go about it?

Thanks

You can add:-

http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/...ernel/standard/

as one of your install sources.

Then use yast software to update.

As it is the latest kernel make sure that you have a back-up of all your important data - just in case.

I'd be wary of using a kernel intended for another distro version. Sometimes new kernel versions require new tools to go with it. At the very least make sure you don't remove the old kernel but add the new kernel as another menu item, so that you can still boot with the old kernel.

It worked fine for me - when I was using 10.3 but as ken_yap says there is always a chance it could go belly-up.
