Hi,

Installed suse 10.3 from the kde disk. It is up and running with only 2 problems. I've done lots of research to get to this point, and I hope someone can help me now.

1. Kaffeine after installed all of the restricted stuff sounds horrible when I play most avi files. VLC plays them super though. Is there away I can configure vlc to automatically open video and audio files with the 'one click' SUSE interface? I know I can right click and 'openwith' - but I'd rather it be the first choice if possible.

2. Digikam is very cool - however - there are two problems I've found. I wrote the digikam mailing list and no response yet. Under the part where you can select a border for your picture - it makes the picture turn black. Also when you select a texture. It does the same thing. Also when you use the calendar plugin - same thing. Can anyone help me resolve this?

TIA

to 1. When you right-click and push 'open with' there should be a box named 'remember file association' or something along the lines. tick that one before opening it with your preferred program.
