Suse 10.2, KDE, new nvidia drivers, 3D checked in sax2, glzinfo has everything configured, yast has compiz folders marked as loaded, I can see the folders, they have all the stuff. Now, where is the compiz control panel? How do I get it on my desktop? I tried the Gnome control panel, checked the "desktop effects", tells me I don't have 3D effects available? Suse 10.2 KDE runs smooth, fast with a beautiful desktop now, nvidia cleaned up the fonts and display.
Mepis has compiz and emerald panels on the desktop.

Try using the instruction here

http://en.opensuse.org/Compiz_Fusion

When you do you will have the latest compiz-fusion and the configuration panel.
