Two questions:

1. I'd like my openSUSE to ask me for a password when it wakes up after suspend to RAM or to disk.

2. Besides, I'd be delighted if I could suspend the system at the main login window without having to input root password.

Tell me please if there are any solutions to my problems.

I found out how to solve the problem.

1. Backup the the file /opt/kde3/share/config/kdm/kdmrc
2. Edit /opt/kde3/share/config/kdm/kdmrc
Code:
AllowSuspend=All
Make sure to delete '#' sign before the line.

That's all folks!
