Hey guys, my first post here, this forum seems to be really good for us SuSE users!

Well, I've been using openSuSE 10.2 since December/2006...

Now I've come across two questions about the Login Screen. I'm using KDM.

1) Antialiasing

Although I activated Antialiasing in KDE Control Center / System Administration / Login Manager, it still doesn't work there, I've already checked kdmrc and it's ok there. Do you know how to solve it?

2) Users

My users (me, root) don't appear on the login screen, I have to type their names myself. Is there a way I can make them happen, so I can mouse-click to select users?

Thanks in advance!

If you are speaking about antialiasing of the letters that come onto the login screen, does it really matter? I wouldn't bother with that. Far more important are the fonts after logging in.

In the Login Manager, change the users from being hidden. Then their names will come onto login screen. Usually root is hidden, but created users are not.

Yeah, you're right, they're not that important in the Login Screen, it's just that I'm trying to understand it more, you know...

About the hidden users, you're right again! How come I didn't realize both users were hidden?! I thought the option there was the opposite, I guess...

Thanks a lot!

Although it's just a cosmetic feature, I'm still intrigued how come the Antialiasing is not working with the Login Screen...

Take a look at this for configuring KDM:

http://docs.kde.org/stable/en/kdebase/kdm/...#kdmconfig-font
