Thumbs up

I've been trying to figure out a way to either get AvantGo to work on OpenSuse 10.2 or to get an alternative. I tried plucker, but can't get it to install. Sitescooper says it's installed, but then I can't find it on my palm or on my desktop. Here is what happens when I run the sitscooper perl script:

Reading configuration from "/home/eric/.sitescooper/sitescooper.cf".
Using site choices from "/home/eric/.sitescooper/site_choices.txt".
Palm install: using KPilot: "/home/eric/.kde/share/apps/kpilot/pending_install".
Finished!

Thing is, Kpilot doesn't say anything about it being a pending install. It's not listed at all and when I sync, I get nothing.

I have seen a few people said in other forums there was at least at one point a way to get avantgo to sync with a Palm, but I can't find any details on how to do it. Also, I saw some people said that no longer was working in more recent distros, so not sure if that information is useful at all.

I have a similar question posted at LinuxQuestions.org but so far have received no response so I thought I'd try here since people visiting here are more likely familiar with the particulars of OpenSuse.

Please be aware that while I've been around computers a long time, I am very new in the Linux world and am still learning how things work. Any and all help would be appreciated. If possible, please try to be as detailed as possible when giving an answer in case you mention something I don't yet understand about Linux/Suse.

Thank you so much.

Eric

P.S. I'd like to once again express my thanks to all the great people who worked on creating OpenSuse 10.2. Over all, it's an incredible package and I'm really enjoying using it.
