ls -R does not list contents in the soft-linked directory
in SuSE-10.2.
I think it is a "ls" bug in coreutils-6.4.10 in SuSE-10.2.
The "ls" in coreutils-5.93.20 in SuSE-10.1 is OK.

Because of this bug, "mktexlsr" viz., "texhash"
does not work properly in SuSE-10.2 for soft-linked
directories.

Please take a note, the OpenSuSE team.

Thanks a lot.

Hugh

PS: The stupid Forum software changed the capitalization
as it pleases. I actually typed "ls -R" in the title.

I can't reproduce your bug on 10.2 if you mean what I think you do. I did:

cd /tmp
ln -s /usr/lib lib
/bin/ls -R lib

and got a long listing of /usr/lib contents

Make sure ls is not aliased to ls with some options. Run /bin/ls like I did to make sure.
