I bought Epson Stylus D88 and as I read the best driver is Gutenprint, but I cant install it cause it's not in my repos and it also fails to compile from source and fails to build an rpm from source.

I rolled up my sleeves and finally compiled Gutenprint from source by adding a few *-devel packages.

Could I possibly get you to explain how you got it installed and working. I have never been able to get one of my Epson printer working on Suse, 9.2 & 10.1.
