Hi!

I'm just beginning with SuSE 10.0. I'd like to know where does YaST2 keep downloaded rpm's during both Online Update and Software Management installation? If it deletes them, how can I make it keeping rpms somwhere on my hd?

Peace.

Check out this thread. It should give a general idea of what's involved. You actually have to check the option to save(or uncheck the option to delete ) them when you are in YaST software Management and installing a package. If you didn't select that option, they are gone.

That option available during update says: '[] delete source packages after update', so I shall have it unchecked and so it is.
I found update packages here: '/var/lib/YaST2/you/mnt/i386/update/10.0-OSS/' . But what about packages downloaded and installed via 'Software Management' menu in YaST (YaST2 package manager)?

Peace.

Nope, didn't find anything, excluding those packages from 'Online Update' which (as I wrote before) are beeing held in '/var/lib/YaST2/you/mnt/i386/update/10.0-OSS/'. Tried with 'kfind' run as su in konsole. So how can I make YaST to keep doanloaded packages on my hd (the worst thing is that probably I can't...)?

Peace.
