I see that the newer builds of mplayer can do AVC. Does anyone know where I can download this for suse 9.3? Also, are there any open source solutions to replace combustion? These 2 things are the only things holding me back from switching from winblows completely. I can get Shake cheap(er) through work, but there aren't very many file types it can import in the linux version(it can basicly only do image sequences).

The latest package from packman did the trick. Looks amazing on here too. Now I just need to find a way to import more filetypes into Shake. Alot of my stuff is using AVC for small file fransfers across the network. I know that the OSX version uses Quicktime for importing, but since linux doesn't have quicktime it can really only import the basics. Anyone have any suggestions or alternative software?
