i have come to a conclusion today:
suse 9.1 PRO has most of the applications in spanish (i saw it this morning at a local company in my engineering field). i spoke with the system administrator and he was happy to tell me that they abandoned M$ back in 1999 and started ONLY with suse in ALL of their computers. then he showed me the releases one by one, from 5.2, 6, 7, 8, 9 and now they have 9.1. all of them in their original boxes and manuals. he told me he was very pleased and very happy of having suse in his computers and nobody would change that, even the secretaries deal with it every day without complaining for a faulty application, like the bugware M$. so, the personal edition is not good then, for people who doesn't speak english much as most of the menus and applications are mixed (yet more english than spanish) therefore, i am myself forced to acquire/buy the 9.1 Pro as soon as possible ![]() in order to show to people around me that you can really have an alternative to M$ operating system in our native language!! ¡¡Long Live Linux & Suse!! h34r: thanks everyone for your comments! bye |

I don't know what the packages would be called but you might be able to pull the packages off the Suse ftp site. Add it as a source if you can find out what the package is called and try installing that way.

in the "k menú" go to control center, and in the index tab you'll find something like "region and accessibility"(if that word exists in english....)is the 3rd on the bottom... there you'll find "country and language" select Spanish and that's it!!!!!! and if you don't like it you can always go back to English.... |
