Friends,
I've installed a CAD program and upon opening it says: A current limitation of this program is that the default application font being True Type or Type 1 font. Pls run qtconfig to setup proper font I've tried doing so but it keeps giving me the same popup i.e. I guess I haven't managed it ... How do I know that the fonts I chose are of True Type or Type1 type ? How do I go about setting a True Type font as a system default ? Thanks, Kman |

Maybe could you tell us what CAD program you installed, for me it more sounds like a issue of the CAD software than a general linux problem.

I'm pretty sure it is not a Linux problem. But I figured that as I have a problem with a Linux based software I'd post my question in this forum ... sorry if I'd made an error assuming so ...
The program is called lignumCAD ( http://freshmeat.net/projects/lignumcad/ ) ... If I just knew how to make sure my default font in SuSE is a truely TrueType font. qtconfig works as I can change my system font there but I can't make any sense out of what type of font I choose ... Ghostscript, TrueType or Type 1 ... I've tried a bunch of different one but starting (after restarting X) the lignumCAD keep telling me that I need a TrueType or Type1 font ... I'm not saying that it is not a fault in the software, I just want to be sure I've done my part properly before chucking the program out ! Thanks ! Kman |
