This forums is thought to be a collection of some sample config files, or even special config files (e.g. if you have special hardware, and got it finally running you might want to share the config files in here).

Please post the config files either quoted or as attachment, don't just copy and paste it without quoting it.

That's it

In addition to these also note the points at the top of the page.

I think it would be helpful if the author of the config. file specified how and why it is different from the default that comes with SUSE. It is also worth mentioning what version(s) of SUSE the the config. was designed for.

Take a look at Storm's inetd.conf and compare it to the one which comes with SUSE (9.0). The only significant differences differences between SUSE 9.0's '/etc/inetd.conf' and Storm's are:
  • Storm's doesn't include any entries for VNC HTTP
  • Storm's doesn't include an entry for IMAPS
  • Storm's doesn't include an entry for POP3S
  • Storm's tftp entry is different to SUSE's
    Code:
    < # tftp dgram udp wait root /usr/sbin/tcpd in.tftpd -s /tftpboot
    > # tftp dgram udp wait root /usr/sbin/in.tftpd in.tftpd -s /tftpboot

Yes I think thats a good idea and prevent ppl from using an config on the wrong SuSE version.

Offtopic: The inetd.conf here listed is not mines I just copy it from the old forum to this forum thats why my name is on the topic.
