hello friends. i am going to start programming in LISP. So I was looking for LISP compilers. I found a number of compilers and interpreters but now I am confused about which one to choose. how do their performances compare? LISP was intended to be an interpreter initially. Guide my choice. I intend to develop in LISP so the choice has to be carefully made.

One of the best lisp interpreters I know is......

Emacs! The whole thing is a big lisp engine and all the packages for it are written in lisp. Hacking emacs script is a great way to learn a little Lisp!
