Intel Compiler Problem

Hi,

I just got my new workstation (dell t7400) based on a dual xeon x5472 and 16gb of ram etc. Since I am already using suse for a couple years I installed open suse 10.3. No problem there. Installing the intel compilers (10.2) also gave no problems. However when I start to compile my hpc programs I get the message that the libgcc_s is not compatible. Gfortran gives no problems. Has somebody run into this problem before.

What gcc version is it requiring?

I do not know. the default gcc 4.2.3 is installed.

Try Intel Fortran compiler forum at http://softwarecommunity.intel.com/isn/Com.../ShowForum.aspx . They are good. I am using Fortran 10.1.008 with gcc 4.2.1 on OpenSuse 10.3 (all 32 bit versions) with no problems.
