Hi,

I tried to have ddclient (ddclient.sf.net, a perl script) run on startup by putting it on my /etc/rc.d/boot.local.

It doesn't start.

If I run it from console, i.e.

Code:
/usr/sbin/ddclient
it does.

Is it because the boot.local starts with a /bin/sh or is there a different reason?

Thanks,

Amit.

Maybe perl isn't available yet? Maybe the partition where perl is isn't mounted yet? Or maybe it can't find perl in its path?

perl sits on the same partition as everything else. What I can do is pinpoint it to the right place with #! /usr/bin/perl.
