anybody suggest any good script editor/debug tool - I'm new to linux world and using openSUSE 10.3 with Gnome.
My basic requirements are for scripting JavaScript and PHP as a minimum, but possible with a SQL feature too naturally I want all the best features for free - seriously I'm happy to pay $$$ for a good tool, but le$$ is best i've looked at the Antechinus® JavaScript Editor and it suits, but I'd like some other options too any suggestions? |

Aptana, which claims to be "The Web IDE", is a very good tool to use.

Take your time, and learn how to use vim....or gvim...or kvim, etc.
It's a steep learning curve, but once you learn it, your hands never have to leave the "home keys" position, or reach over and grab the mouse. Lots of "wierd" key combinations, but once you internalize them, it's like playing a musical instrument. You don't think about the letters that you're typing; your hands just know what to do. |
