Ps3 Dvd Player

Hi guys,
I'm using openSUSE quite a while in my old IBM ThinkPad and everything runs just perfect. Now I've tried an implementation in my PS3 but, after the installation, it seems not recognizing the BD/DVD player. I mean, I insert a disk, (CD or DVD) and nothing happens. Have I done anything stupid or is it a real problem?
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hi, I'm also on openSUSE PS3 and I'm having the same problem with audio CDs, audio programs won't recognize that there is an audio CD in there (haven't tried with DVD movies yet). I'm new to Linux so I'm trying out various distros on PS3 and have had this problem on all of them except YDL 6 (though on that on KDE it auto-ejected the CDs, Gnome and Enlightenment seemed fine). I haven't been able to find a solution If anyone can help with this it would indeed be much appreciated
