Hi, I'm a Linux newbie too, also on PS3
![]() There's a guide here on configuring internet settings: http://www.swerdna.net.au/linhowtonic.html To install software on Linux, the easiest (not the only) way is to use the disto's update/install manager where you can search for apps (by name or by description) and the manager will install the software packages along with any dependent packages. In openSUSE (KDE) go to Computer > Install Software from the main menu. You'll have to first add the repositories it will look in for software - right click on the openSUSE update tray icon and choose Add/Remove Update Sources, click on Add,, then choose Specify URL and copy/paste the URLs of the repositories. These are the main repos (with links to additional repos): http://en.opensuse.org/Package_Repositories Here's a full guide to software installation: http://en.opensuse.org/YaST_Software_Management |
