First off, I've never even touched linux before. Just to let you know.

<strike>1: How do I set resolution settings? Font = tiny. TV is a Matsui MAT32LW507. HD.</strike>(found it out)

2: How exactly do I configure internet settings? I've tried but it doesn't work.

3: Where do I get some apps?

Thanks for any help.

Forgot to mention I'm using KDE.

Hi, I'm a Linux newbie too, also on PS3

There's a guide here on configuring internet settings:
http://www.swerdna.net.au/linhowtonic.html

To install software on Linux, the easiest (not the only) way is to use the disto's update/install manager where you can search for apps (by name or by description) and the manager will install the software packages along with any dependent packages. In openSUSE (KDE) go to Computer > Install Software from the main menu. You'll have to first add the repositories it will look in for software - right click on the openSUSE update tray icon and choose Add/Remove Update Sources, click on Add,, then choose Specify URL and copy/paste the URLs of the repositories.

These are the main repos (with links to additional repos):

Here's a full guide to software installation:

I know about YaST, and I'd just add some repos like PackMan etc if I could get some internet on it
