Ok where to start. Macmini w/ Powerpc cd SUSE 10.3 install. Everything went w/out a hitch. Go to ATI repository under Community Repositories add it. Go to Software Repositories also in YAST and see the repo added, enable and refresh options check. Go to software management to search for ATI drivers and the ATI repo is not listed. Any ideas?

My whole goal from this is to get 3d support on the card enabled. Is this even possible or am i spinning my wheels?

Thx in advance guys.

Any input would be appreciated.
*Quite a few views anyone know of a resource/forum that deals w/PPC/Mac and Suse 10.3?

Ok, I get the feeling maybe Suse 10.3 is not the best distro for powerpc. Does anyone have any suggestions for another distro that's good on a powerpc mac mini? Any recommendations?

In all honesty I am so into Suse 10.3 for my desktop pc, that I am slightly, just slightly slightly disappointed, ok not really at all , The mac mini is not mine, lol. It's a buddies on here and since I have a little more experience and time then he does to mess w/Suse;I was posting on his behalf. Any suggestions welcomed!!!!!!! Personal experiences/knowledge appreciated.

For the good of the community, an update is available. Only on the mini, I had to switch to Ubuntu. It's not too bad. Didn't really mess w/it long enough to figure out all the fuss, but it's nice after a few tweaks. Tooooo much brown. I like green lol. The live CD was nice. It was my first encounter using a live CD. Right from desktop, the Ubuntu CD gives you an install option.

That's it. It worked;I was happy and passed it back to my buddy.

The end!

I have the same problem. I just don't have enough time to solve this problem. Are you interesting in solving this problem?

Well i was working on the mini for a friend. My solution to getting the mini to work w/3d is to run Ubuntu on it and then right after get rid of the all the brown . I would have liked to have been able to run Suse10.3 on it, but the user really wanted 3d for compiz. He has since loaded and is running compiz on his mini.
