I've downloaded OpenSuse 10.3 DVD, it (the DVD) boot fine, but after installation (first half) I couldn't get it to boot to suse to finish second half of the installation (configuration step). I'm using a G5 powermac (and using OSX 10.4 if that's important), and I'm hopeing to install opensuse into a firewire external hard drive (it has USB port, so I can install it uder USB). Since I'm new to Linux I just follow the default installation instructions.
So, I'm wondering if anyone to give me a run down on steps need to follow in order to get it installed.
Many thanks in advance

AFAIK. It's very difficult to install linux to an external HD, even on a PPC Mac. My advice is to clone your Tiger installation to the external HD (since OSX is better at booting off external HD's) and install linux on the internal HD.
