Hello there!

I'm trying to install SuSE 10.2 on an iMac G3 Bondi Blue. Everything works fine (fast, responsive) until I get to the Installation Summary screen. Then it runs un-godly slow (it takes like 2 minutes for it to respond to a mouse movement). I can get to the disk partitioner, but that runs even slower!

So, I'm just looking for a way to speed it up so I can try SuSE! Is there a text installer option (as opposed to a graphic one)?

Thanks.

Yes. Use "Installation - Safe Settings" and it should give you the text mode. Otherwise, pass the parameter "textmode=1" to the bootloader.

Thank you! It worked!

How do you get the installer to set up Boot Partitions automaticly (sorry I'm lazy).

Also, which kind of partition is the Apple Bootstrap (it doesn't show up in the menu options). Is it MAC HFS?
