New to forum and suse with limited experience with linux. I have installed suse 10.2 on an external firewire hard drive and cannot boot to it except via the installation cd. I have an eMac with osx installed in the inner drive. I guess I need help in configuring the bootloader so it will load the hard drive . I have searched the forums but found nothing specific to my situation.
Any help would be appreciated.

Most modern motherboards have options in the bios to allow you to boot from a USB device, but I have not seen the option to boot from Firewire. I am not saying that it can't be done, but I would not know how to do it.
