I installed OpenSuse 10.2 on my iBook G3 and had no problems during the installation even with the graphical mode. I have choosen KDE as desktop manager. After rebooting the boot process was ok. as long it was text mode. But afterwards as it should change to graphical mode I got a totally green display. I could not identify anything but I guess the boot process was ok and then stopped at the login screen. I guess the X11-configuration is not ok. or perhaps a driver? I installed ext2fs to be able to see the linux files from within MacOSX.
Any idea? Did anyone have the same problem? It would be nice of you to get help.
Greetings,
wellenbrett.

Yeah, I just posted a very similar issue. From what I've gathered this most recent version of X just doesn't like the hardware in the iBook G3. But, I'm sure something can be done about this...
