Being very new to openSuse 10.2 PPC and coming from Ubuntu where setting up mol to share a network was very simple. I have tried the same steps in Suse with little success. MOL boots perfectly, full screen and when I open up network on the mac side, it says it's connected but I have no Internet access.
What is the terminal command for "ifconfig" in Suseland?
Is this a Firewall issue that blocks the tunnel to the mac? I haven't setup a firewall, is a firewall set as a default in Suse?
Is there anyone that has mol working with a network connect for the mac side?
If so please share.

Thanks!

The terminal command for ifconfig in 'suseland' is 'ifconfig' . If you want to see your routes - 'route'. If you want to check out your DNS servers - 'cat /etc/resolv.conf'. A firewall is enabled by default, you can turn it off in YaST.

Ah yes, I had to become root to run ifconfig. Which brings me to permission issues. I can not as a normal user mount cd/dvd or usb devices. Is this a FSTAB issue or is something else controlling media mount? I can mount cd/dvd/usb as root but to just play a music cd as a normal user "permission denied"
Please tell me how to fix this.
Thanks again!
