Hi everyone!
I was able to install SUSE 10.1 on a very old iMac (bought 2001). I don't want to juggle CDs around when installing packages so I copied the iso images to /opt/iso-img. All 5 images checks out OK with md5sum. I ran "Installation Source" from the YaST Control Center. Add -> Local Directory, select "ISO Image", and browsed for /opt/iso-img/SUSE-Linux-10.1-GM-ppc-CD1.iso. That worked fine. However, I get this error message for CD2 to CD5: ![]() Please help. Thanks! -joey |

If you want to stay with a local directory source, you could also create a single dvd iso from the cd isos. Then you'd have one oss install source and the non-oss cd. You don't have to burn a dvd to do this, and there is a howto here to help. |

Thanks for the quick reply, dkm.
It seems I only have to add the iso image of the first cd and the system assumes that the other iso images are in the same directory. I tried installing some more packages and it didn't ask me for any CD! -joey |
