How To Boot Into Text Mode?

Oh... I though all versions of SuSe used Grub... my bad.

The PPC version doesn't use Grub. I think dtech i right that it uses lilo, though I have never used it so I am unsure of ow to boot straight to command line from lilo.

what do I have to do to boot into text mode? I tried "linux textmode=1", but it didn't work. I coudn't find any other way, only for x86, but none of them work on ppc.

Boot to yaboot
Type 'hd:a,b/suseboot/vmlinux 3' and press enter.
I think that should work
a is the number of you disk. b is the number of you partition
yaboot is avaliable after booting from cd1
