G5 iMac mouse&keyboard freezes fixed

Dear Members,
Here's a late Christmas present, IF you have a late model Apple G5 iMac (2005). Most of the latest Open Source Linux on Apple64 Operating Systems use the following Desktop Sound Daemon

aRts also noted as artsd

PLEASE ....... do the following ........

Using Find Files/Folders choose to search for artsd then rename artsd by doing the following:

1.) At the console command prompt use

mv /dir1/dir2/artsd /dir1/dir2/bakartsd

You may have to use another distro's cd and mount your failed distros root partition then use the above suggested method to disable the arts desktop sound daemon called artsd

We already have Kubuntu Dapper Drake Flight 2 UP to the KDE Desktop for the first time, on our 2005.5 G5 iMac's

ALSO USES THE ARTS DESKTOP SOUND DAEMON :blink:

WITH OPENSUSE 10 FINAL OSS .....

TRY THIS AT THE COMMAND LINE :# cd /opt/kde3/bin/

# ls
artsd <<<<<<<<<< there it is !!!!

PLEASE: Let other distro's who are using this sound daemon on their ppc/ppc64/apple64 desktop know about this problem re freezing USB mouse and keyboards problem and the workaround. Thanks.
