Desktop Effects In Opensuse 11.0 Rc1

I have OpenSUSE 11.0 RC1 on a HP desktop with Nvidia drivers 173.14.05 installed successfully.

When I tries to select 'Enable Desktop Effects' under 'Look and Feel', the screen flickers and upon clicking that 'green check mark', 'Enable Desktop Effects' gets deselected.

Desktop effects / Compiz worked just fine in OpenSUSE 11.0 Beta 3 on the same machine.

What does your glxinfo say?
