Ok so I finally have sounds working on my sys. Ive got an Audigy 2 card and it required me to fiddle around in alsamixer to enable the analog/digital toggle to get any sound.

Q: Where do I disable and or edit the system sounds in KDE? Logging on, closing a window etcetc

kde --> personal settings --> notification......
