How do I get root access for the KDE 4 login manager to change my login preferences?

You can also launch "systemsettings" via kdesu, to avoid having to log in as root.
Alt-F2 will bring up the krunner windowd, just type in kdesu systemsettings You'll have to authenticate your root password, but then you'll have admin privileges for the control panel. Cheers, KV |
