After autoupdating, this time it is not the missing initrd, this time the /boot/grub/menu.lst ist not functional after boot - so please have a look at it - before rebooting - and maybe use the menu.lst.old instead, changing the lines to the actual kernel 2.6.25.4-8 manually.

I used the Autoupdate (Internetupdate) not CD/DVD, and, well the error is now known:
