I have just got my computer to finally recognize a second hard drive after a year. So I am excited, I have tried opensuse 10.3,10.2,10.1, and 10.0. 10.3 had shut down problems. I have heard that problem has been fixed it opensuse 11.0. Is it worth for me to give the beta a shot? Also, another concern is that I currently have linux as the master, will windows stay after I install?

I'd recommend giving the Live CD a spin and see how it goes. |

Two things struck me with 11.0:
1) The improvements in Yast for package management are beyond phenomenal. 2) My laptop now suspends out-of-the-box when I close the lid. I had suspend functionality in previous versions of openSUSE, but it usually took a bit of hackery on the scripts to make it work properly. Now it just works. Why not give it a try? I'm going to go out on a limb and say that, from what I've seen so far, this will probably be the best release that openSUSE has put out to date. Just my 2c... Cheers, KV |
