Hi,
I have just tried booting a SuSE 11.0 Beta 3 Live KDE CD and to my surprise it sees my Intel Pro Wireless 3945 Card but does not see my wired network card, not sure what it is (anyone know how to find out easily) but Ubuntu and Fedora see it with no problems, does anyone have any ideas, I appreciate that this is only in beta at the moment but I would have expected it to support this card as all the other distros that I have used do out of the box. I am running a Dell (Ubuntu) Inspiron 1525 Laptop. Thanks, Gavin, |

Hi Gavin, what wired card are you using? You should see it in the output from console command lspci (but enter su first to get rootly powers).

Hi,
I am not at home at the moment, but did a quick search on the net and found that it is a Marvell 88E8040 from http://en.nothingisreal.com/wiki/GNU/Linux...l_Inspiron_1525 |

Swerdna EDIT: actually I just checked in an old beta I installed for 11, can't remember which one, and it has in it /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.25-rc9-17-pae whose behaviour I have no idea. Maybe someone else can give an opinion as to fitness for your card. |
