After I upgraded to openSUSE 11.0 (i586) Beta3plus to (KDE 4.0.4 >= 20080505) "release 9" I found that I could not launch Yast from the Application Launcher (the Start Menu thingy ). I reported this as a bug (393267) - BTW You can launch Yast2 from the command line if you just enter /sbin/yast2 in a root Terminal window.

It's fixed now - uncheck the "Remember Password" box and it just works fine. The Developers are right on top of this one.
