I get the following when booting up opensuse 10.2 Beta2, and when trying to start Software Update. It seems I have seen this kind of message before, but I cannot find a related thread.

Anyone else getting this or who knows what to do?

System.NullReferenceException: A null value was found where an object instance was required.

Thanks harry_c! I made a note of the reference in case it happens again. I still am getting a warning message that it "cannot restore the source", but I think that has to do with the issue around Yast needing the install DVD in place. Otherwise, it is working.

Thanks again!

after getting it to work, i have 21 software updates but then when i try and fix it, it asks to remove a serious amount of software, maybe 30 packages? does anyone know if this bug, i swear i have read something like this around here but can't find it now.
