10.2 Alpha 4 Cd Won't Boot

I downloaded 10.2 alpha 4 (i386). CD1 won't boot. When I use text mode, the last line displayed says
"NET: registered protocol family 2". Can anyone tell me what is wrong? I currently use SLED 10.0 with no problems. My PC is a Compaq with a Celeron processor.
