do these work together. I am dual booting vista and suse 10.3. no matter what path i select on ndiswrapper, to install .inf file, it installs but when I type in ndiswrapper -L <(lowercased) I get "invalid driver" or "driver not found on ndiswrapper, blah, blah, line 217". thanks in advanced.

Couple questions:
Do you have XP drivers as well as vista drivers on the CD and which ones did you use?
What's the make and model of the wireless device?

Moved your topic from tips/tweaks to wireless networking, since this is a more appropriate spot for your post.

I had a dv6000 with the broadcom driver working natively under 10.3, though if memory serves I had to update the kernel, the version in 10.3 doesn't include the proper support for the BCM4309. The good news, though, is that your wifi will be supported "out-of-the-box" with the next version of openSUSE...

For the ndiswrapper issue, prior to upgrading the kernel, I had played around with ndiswrapper for a while. It worked, but I believe I had to download the driver referred to on the ndiswrapper page for the interface (reference "Dell Wireless" or something to that effect), can't be more specific than that since that laptop met an unfortunate premature death. Have you checked the sticky that andrewd18 has at the top of this forum? That should help as well.

Hope this helps?

Cheers,
KV
