Can anyone help me get this back up? I have (had) a Sony Vaio running 10.3 for months and for some reason today the wireless/internet is not working right. The laptop does connect to my wireless network, but I don't have internet access.

Any ideas where to start with this? It's an Intel 4965 AG NIC with a static IP setting.

Sorry, realized I posted in the software forum, can someone please move it to the wireless? Thanks.

There might have so many reasons for sudden connectivity loss to the internet:

1) If you have a router (obviously you do) its firewall may have blocked your IP address, check what the router setting (at router side) is configured for your laptop
2) What you see after issuing ifconfig -a (issue this command from console as a su), get the output and post it here

Thanks for the reply. I shut it down last night and today it's back working fine. I guess it might have been the router as you mention. I did look around in the router config, but it probably just needed a power cycle (maybe want 12 hours of inactivity gave it in effect).

Thanks again for the suggestions.
