dear sirs,
I have succeeded in configuring the wireless on my pavilion tx 1240ef. I am connected to the internet through the livebox of francetelecom and I use the wireless on the laptop. The connection works,, but every time I start the machine it asks for a password, though on configuring I entered the inscription code (hexadecimal on the live box). to day I have changed the configuration by indicating that I am entering the hexadecimal code, it works but the problem will perhaps come back when I opened the machine? please help.
Also I can't start the sound, though I have followed the instructions. I have ALSA 1.0.12.rc1 ver2. Should i update?
thanks for your kind help

I'm having the same problem. Every time I tries to connect to my wireless network, it asks me to provide encryption keys, etc. even though I have already configured them in the NetworkManager. BTW, I'm using SuSE 10.1.

Thanks.

use a password manager to store the password, something like, gnome keyring manager or kwallet for kde
