hi
this is the first time i am using opensuse, and i love it.
however, it has presented me with a slight problem.
i can't seem to be able to connect to the wireless. when i installed opensuse through DVD, and on kde desktop, i went ahead with the defaults for the network configuration as advised on the installation guide. however, now i am able to connect to wired internet, but not wireless. the knetwork manager shows that it can detect the wireless wifi sources, but it is unable to connect.
what are things i should change on the yast network card configuration settings so that i can have open access to wireless, and don't have to manually connect all the time? as i have multiple wireless sources, how can i enable the knetwork manager to autoconnect to these networks?
please help.
thanks a lot in advance.

There are some must reads in Wireless Networking. They may be of help to you. It sounds like you already have installed your wireless network card. If you can see the Wifi signal strength and it is strong, then you should be able to connect. There is a menu option to select preferred networks, as well as to select the method of connecting such as with a key.

Did you go into Yast and try configuring your wireless card?

Also do you need to enter a password for your wireless network?
