Wireless Connection

Hi

I am new to Suse linux

Problem is that I have a new install of Suse 10.1 fully patched while installing through network cable no problems

Wireless connection was made under root with some extra things put into the boot loader like install noapic etc
so there is no problems logging into any wireless network under root

but when I log in under a user I cannot make any connections with the wireless lan no matter how much tweaking with the boot options it almost sounds like a rights issue

ethernet cable will connect under any user

It is installed onto a toshiba A8
