Hey everyone. I've been searching all morning to no avail so thought i'd try on here. Last night I installed openSuse 10.3, dual booting with XP. I have a Belkin USB wireless card and after a *lot* of effort and re-booting, I hit success and managed to connect to the internet after managing to find firmware updates for the card. However, after a re-boot, it came up claiming it was connected to a wired connection; however there's no cable in the back, and obviously it's not connecting to the internet.

my ifconfig shows lo, wlan0, and (i've no idea what this is, but ifup says something about it being a helper layer for wlan0) wmaster0. Occasionally it shows eth0 too, but this is intermitent. iwconfig shows the network successfully, and all the network details should be correct as I managed to connect yesterday.

I've tried using ifconfig to bring do lo and eth0 and bring up wlan0, i've used ifup on wlan0 (which appears to successfully get an IP each time, although it's always the same one, 192.xxx.xx.101 [xs are because I can't remember, as I've had to boot to XP to write this!], and it never is of any use).

I have no idea why it's claiming to connect to a wired network, or why it won't connect to wireless. The card is flashing, so that's got to be something...

All help VERY welcomed.
