Just installed 10.2 on an older computer and need help getting it connected to the internet. It has a US Robotics wireless card that is recognized and a Linksys router that is working; however, I have no internet. I am a noob so even the most trivial things will probably help. Thanks

Open a console, login as root and type iwconfig, paste the output here.

Do this also for the commands

ipconfig
lspci

Cheers

Also, I tried working through the wiki and had problems. When I tried running

bcm43xx-fwcutter -w /lib/firmware ~/Desktop/bcmwl5.sys

it kept giving an error that said the source file was incorrect or could not be opened (something like that). I copied this file (bcmwl5.sys) from my xp machine to my suse desktop. So I don't understand what the problem is.

bcm43xx-fwcutter -w /lib/firmware ./Desktop/wl_apsta.o

This is exactly what is in the wiki.
