If you know that your driver is not supported out-of-the-box by SUSE, but it does have a native Linux driver, you can follow one of these How-To's to get it working. Some are easier than others.

Atheros 521x
32-bit: http://madwifi.org/suse/
64-bit: http://madwifi.org/suse/

Download and install the kmp- package that matches your current kernel as well as the matching "madwifi" package. Then, set the card up with YaST. The RPMs will need to be reinstalled after every kernel update.

Alternately, use E@syVG's tutorial and compile it from source.

Intel Pro Wireless 2200bg
A quick how-to by Mindzai.

RealTek 2500:
32-bit: ftp://ftp4.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/SuS...86/RPMS.packman
64-bit: ftp://ftp4.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/SuS...64/RPMS.packman

Download and install the kmp- package that matches your current kernel. Then, set the card up with YaST. The RPMs will need to be reinstalled after every kernel update.

Alternately, use E@syVG's tutorial that compiles the latest version from source.

An alternative to NetworkManager for those who want profiles
It's called WIFI Radar. Big thanks to Snakedriver for finding it.

The BCM460 How-To was changed to:

Same set of instructions were also posted to the WIKI today:
Broadcom (BCM4306) WLAN Installation under SUSE

I apologize for the inconvenience...my duplicate post with the same title was deleted.

v/r,
Bob
