Hi,

Im a fairly new user to linux administration, and to learn i decided to install a simple server here with DHCP, NIS and NFS. I'd like to use an automounter to mount users homes automatically after login, but i just cant make it work, even after reading man pages on automount, autofs and auto.master. Could someone help me with this issue ? A working example would be welcome !

Thanks

Joćo

Maybe I am _way_ off here, but I think the autofs stuff is for local users and their hardware. I think you will want to configure the specific server/client software.

thx for the fast answer wnj92996 !

I think i read somewhere that to do what i want to do i would have to enable the autofs on the client and set the server to export the auto.master and the auto.home ...
