Hi, new to openSUSE. Internet is working fine however it is painfully slow sometimes.

Thanks for the response.
I have just switched to opensuse from freespire and have found the internet connection in suse a lot slower than it was in freespire. I have considered all of the issues you mention, must be the solar flares........ |

There are two other issues, tidal ones, lunar cycle, and since it's spring tide time in the Appalachians they're worth checking:
I don't know why, highly technical, but there's a lot of happy campers here after disabling IPv6. You can do that in Yast --> net devices --> net card --> Global Tab Sometimes the name servers provided by your ISP can be overwhelmed, particularly if they are cheep skaters. This is usually cyclically at high demand times. So you could try replacing them with, say, openDNS name servers. Google opendns. Remember, stay inside and you can't drown Swerdna |
